Unlike a lot of you (or so I would guess) I don't have an extensive knowledge of Old Norse. Maybe this is old news.
I was looking at this series of lessons ...
http://www.utexas.edu/cola/centers/lrc/ ... l-5-X.html... and saw that the Old Norse numbering system was partially 12-based:
120 hundrað
200 hundrað ok átta tigir
240 tvau hundrað
960 átta hundrað
1200 þúsund
Is there any evidence this was carried over into Norn? And should possibly be allowed for in Nynorn?
