Thanks!

I am fascinated by foreign languages, and I am hardly criticized by my brothers for me to search dictionaries of languages that I can not speak Laughing

The Nynorn is related to Old Norse and Norse, right?
I am creating a fictitious country and I am thinking of using this language.
Well, I'm having difficulty translating some ideas and would like your help:
- The offical country's name is: Commonhold of Vickbourg, or literally: Common Authority of Castle's Creek (in Norwegian Bokmål: Vanligholden Vikenborg or Vanligsholden Vikenborg - I think).
- The local parliament is: Nobles' Council (Adelsrådet - I think too)

How this would be in Nynorn?
Can I bother you with requests for translations or there is some more complete dictionary available?

Yes, it's conceived as its direct descendant... artificial though Wink

I still struggle with a couple of words in your sentence, will post my translation later.. May be you could try to provide your own translation, to have something to build upon?
Nobles' Council would be Udalsråð or Udalsmannaråð.

Yes, if it's something short, but bear in mind that the Nynorn dictionary is far from being complete, so there can be delays like this time.

In other words... Old Norse -> Norn -> Nynorn.

I know, my English is [CENSORED]!
The country's name is Commonhold of Vickbourg, or Vanligsholden Vikenborg in Norwegian. The word "commonhold" means something like this: shared authority, shared control, or shared power.
And Vickbourg is the English translation of the capital's name, Vikenborg in Norwegian (I think it would be Vigibjorg in Nynorn, but the Nornopedia says: creek = bogi), or literally "castle of the creek".
I expressed myself better?

No problem, I have no hurry. Moreover, I also started researching the Nornopedia.

Thank you!

A Common is Ålmenn, Ålmark or Vålmenning, all these three words have been recorded in Shetland as Old Norn words for a Common. In fact the word Vålmenning/Ålmenn(ing) would actually cover the meaning Commonhold. Vickbourg would be literally the same word Viksburg. However you could also use the word Viksbjorg but then it would mean a more modern city as in 'Modern City of Vik'.

Commonhold of Vickbourg would thence be: Vålmenningen Viksburg or Ålmenningen Viksbjorg or whichever combination you prefer.

Thank you, Ljun! I would go for Vikarburg/-bjorg, because vik has genitive vikar, not *viks.

I'm trying to give names for the national and public institutions. I don't want to bother you so much, but...

One more time, thank you!
