Norn:

Klapa klapa sø:da
bokşina sķȯləna bjø:da

A version from "The Home of a Naturalist":

Clapa clapa süda
Boochsina schölina Bjöda
Bauta deema kjota schin
Swala clovena vjenta in
Roompan pöman söda

Nor. klov n. - (cleft) fork
Nor. svola f. - a) a swallow; b) acute-angled notch

The short version

Klapa klapa sø:da
bokşina sķȯləna bjø:da

I think it can be translated to:

clap clap sweety
the school books are waiting.

But i have my doubt about "bokşina", it could also be 'pants'.
And it is just a guess that "bjø:da" means 'wait'

There's a Norwegian version of this lullaby, courtesy of Ljun:

So ro min søde,
buksene skal mi bøde,
bøde dei med katteskinn,
vende alle kløane inn,
der er godt nok til søden".

Another Norwegian variant from Hafslo in Sogn og Fjordane has the last line:
"I rompao pao vår søte vænn".

In a sort of Norwegian/Faroese the verse would look as follows:

Klappa, klappa søta
buksinar skal (meg?) bøta
bøta dem med kattaskinn
skula klóvinar (klórnar) venda inn
I rumpan på min søta.

Will do the English translation as soon as.. Wink
