Låring or mukkel skarv (engelsk: Great Cormorant) (froðlikshed: Phalacrocorax carbo) er sjufugl av skarvaert.

lorin sb the great cormorant, pelecanus cristatus; phalacrocorax graculus (Edm. Zetl.). Often compounded with skarf (cormorant): l.-skarf. *låringr" for *læringr, deriv. of *lår, O.N. lær, n., the thigh, Shetl. lor. Besides lorin is found the old compd. *hwitlorin, now: *white-lorin.
